This place is amazing love going g here. Service is great and food is amazing!! Price is okay but that seems to be normal now days.

Always such a good spot when I'm craving shabu since I live so close. Their sukiyaki broth is tasty, and their beef cuts are very high quality. The servers are amazing, they are very attentive and friendly. I also like that the tables are spacious unlike other places.

Danimals was an amazing waiter very friendly and helpful. My husband loves spicy mayo chicken. Dan is very prompt brought everything that my husband asked him to bring to our table.

The shared hot pots were perfect for all of us to have our own broths. The AYCE options covered everything we wanted. The meat selections were great and included shrimp too. Lots of edamame, chicken karaage and veggies to choose from also. The servers were consistently checking in on us for more orders or to refill our drinks. Service was definitely on point. The restaurant itself is not very big but each table was taken.

We are regular patrons of this place. Having tried many other shabu places around HB, FV, and costa mesa, we always c9me back to Shinobu. Friendly staff. Good food. Generous assortment of veggies. They have all you can eat if that's your thing, but their standard menu is plenty for our fam. Recommend highly.

Shinobu is really tasty, one of my favorites. Great quality meats, tasty appetizers, attentive staff, and option to do a la Carte or all you can eat. you order everything on a sheet of paper you hand to the server. The staff do a good job trying to keep up with your orders, so I felt that I was hungry waiting! meats are defrosted and folded nicely on trays when they come out, nice marbling and quality! Would suggest that they make their sukiyaki broth a bit stronger and it would be better!

My boyfriend and I were out in OC and decided to grab dinner somewhere around the area. I found Shinobu Shabu and upon arrival was confused as their sister store next door is a Japanese ayce bbq and this location is solely their Japanese Hotpot. Having never tried hotpot before this experience definitely blew me away. The service was great, our server of the night briefly broke it down on how to cook our hotpots and gave us some great suggestions, we were also served our food in a timely manner throughout the night. The AYCE option is your best bet as you can get up to 3 rounds of refills on broth, meats (4 meats per round) , appetizers and sides ( dessert included). The environment is somewhat small, yet nice and cozy making it perfect for any occasion. For unintentionally stumbling upon a random hotpot joint Shinobu Shabu is now definitely up there with my favorites and i'd recommend this to anyone looking for a great bite. 10/10!

Really enjoyed my meal at Shinobu. Great food, great service, and overall a wonderful time. Our server was friendly and attentive. She took her time to explain the menu and got us everything we needed. We opted for the AYCE menu at $34.99/person. The Spicy Miso broth was really good. The spicy level was super mild, but you can opt to add more chili oil to up the spiciness. They had a form where you can add eggs, appetizers, and choose whichever vegetables and noodles you want. Choice Short Rib 5/5 - Perfect balance of lean and marbled meat. Best out of the three meats we tried. I'd recommend this. U.S. Wagyu Chuck Eye 4.5/5 - Very lean meat if that's what you prefer. U.S. Wagyu Beef Belly 4/5 - More fatty, similar to pork belly.
